Can anyone tell me how to disbale the Add New Hardware Wizard on Windows XP ????

We are working on a project that requires mobiles to access data on a computer and everytime you connect with a different phone it tries to install other features not required for file transfer. (in brief!)

Hi i cannot find anything on disabling hardware wizard, but if you go into device manager you maybe able to disable what you want in there.

Hi, Not sure if you'll find it here, but have you tried the local policy editor ( Start / Run / gpedit.msc). You can use this to tie down certain things. You may find "Add / Remove" programs in there
