How can I disable constaints on a table? And then enable then?

Thanks for any guidance.

Hi JE!
I agree with SEM!
But these are the extreme cases when that constraints r enabld or disabld!
But sometimes it also happens that u've disable constraint and u also want that other user cannt apply DML operations on the table!
So
there are four cases:
1) Alter table <tablename> enable validate constraint <constraint name> extreme case ie. ENABLE
2)Alter table <tablename> enable novalidate constraint <constraint name>
3)Alter table <tablename> disable validate constraint <constraint name>
4)Alter table <tablename> disable novalidate constraint <constraint name> extreme case ie. DISABLE

i hope this could solve ur problem!
Gregi!

Thanks sem and wannaBDBA for the info. This is exactly what I was looking for.
