Disable Call Waiting J139 3

Hi All,

Customer has J139 phones with "appearance a" and "appearance b"

Some users do not want call waiting notification when they are already on a call.

Because the Transfer button is not available due to feature restrictions on the J139 they require "appearance a" and "appearance b" so that they can transfer calls.

How can I disable call waiting notification when on a call?

Telephony - then untick Call waiting.

J139 support transfer so does all J100 series phones. You may have reserve last call appearance button ticked so disable this or add another call appearance button.
 
Never disable reserve last CA! ALLWAYS enable last CA (Avaya in their infinite stupidity wisdom* chose disabled as the default state).
if you do you can getr the situation where an anget cannot transfer the call to another party because they have an incomming call presenting on the remaining apperance key(s).

in fact this could be the reason for the original complaint - ensure reseve last CA is enabled!

Hi,

The problem is there is no transfer option when they receive a call.
Call Waiting is unticked but if you have two call appearance buttons then the second incoming call is presented which they don't want.
The only reason they have two call appearance is to be able to transfer calls.

This is very situational, if you have 2 CA buttons and 2 calls on these lines you will never be able to transfer. If you reserve the last CA the second call will go to voicemail but you can transfer the first call. Depends on the situation...

I do reckon this is his issue too.

Maybe programming another CA and keeping reserve last CA ticked.
