Disabel password expire Solaris 10

Hi!
My problem is that after running JASS on Solaris 10 my passwords have expire dates , i would like to know if thier is a way to turn off the expire dates?
I have gone to /etc/shadow and changed it by hand , but when I do a passwd username the expire date returns.

Try checking the contents of /etc/default/passwd.
