Hi folks,

I'm in Manila, Philippines with 4 (analog) trunk lines from PLDT. As far as I know we have no Calling Party Control (CPC) signalling to notify our PBX that the caller has hung up. Our PBX is a Panasonic KX-TDE100.

The lack of CPC has only caused a problem now I am testing the DISA/Auto Attendant feature. Without DISA, if the caller hangs, up, the internal extension stops ringing (within a few seconds). BUT if I enable DISA on a CO line and then call that line - the OGM plays and I can select an option, then hang up, but the internal extension keeps ringing (and following the ICD rules of redirecting to other extensions etc). Of course, when you answer the call, there is nothing on the other end (or maybe a busy tone).

If our provide cannot send the CPC signal - how else do we detect that the caller has hung up when using DISA?

Why is this different when using DISA? It works fine when not using DISA...

Thanks

Hi Jvparagna,

What is the system you are working with? NCP, KXTDE, KXTDA. has it got built in Voicemail?

Login in as

*PCCKXTDA*
BE VERY CARFULL IN THE OPTIONS.

login and go to the system tab at the bottom you will see a tone tab that usually is not there.

These settings are for BT type lines.

In the tone table E18 Record tone 1 Change the Cyclic to single and the use Count from 2 to 0 Apply and try

you know that you can get to that option through manager if enabled to do so when logged in as installer.
Plus the problem with all the above changes is that it is the bt reorder tone it is getting not the system one. If it got the system reorder tone then the system would know the call is gone, the issue you are solving is for some answering machines on slt ports that did not know the panasonic reorder tone would not hang up.

The real problem is they dont have CPC siginal on the line, person hangs up and the system does not know the call is gone, the disa is looking for dtmf tones not engaged signals so it will follow the no dial option, which could be set to disconect if you really wanted to.
it then rings to the group and you answer a line with engaged tone. if you dont answer it should go to voicemail so it will clear the call or else it could stay ringing all day.
Other answer is get ISDN and it will tell the system the call is gone, and I will only offer this service if they have ISDN

Same problem here in Australia. You can pay for meter pulses to be added to the lines.

Hi Kierso,

I cannot find it and our PBX Is TDE 100. Please clarify where particular tab can bee seen the tone table E18 Record tone?

You will find it on the Manager when you Login NOT using the INSTALLER But *PCCKXTDA*

Then Connect using the connect button.

When your Logged in you will see the Tabs:
1.Configuration
2.System
Open the system Tab and you will see the menus 1 to 12

the 12th Tab is the Tone menu.
Click on the Tone Tab and the window will open. you will see a table 1 - 29

Under [18] Recorder Tone 1 (Change Cyclic Mode to single and the Use Count from 2 to 0
ONLY On that Line.

Apply and save

Hi Kierso,

The username *PCCKXTDA* was not recognize, I tried to connect to Multi-site manager but it doesn't work even. Do we need to purchase the license on it?

Can you send me a link picture?

Connect by your local network.

On the actual Login in page Dial StarPCCKXTDAStar add the stars (*) in and the letters have to be in Caps.

Then you get to the connect page. connect over your local LAN or directly in the Front.

You need a licence for multi pbx option just use first pbx

I still think you are wasting your time

thanks Kierso, I already change it and trying to test now and do I need to turn-on in the start tab?

Please advise.

By the way,

I tried to check the

"Program a dialing DISA options to go to a group not to extension. program queuing time table for this group like: sequence 1 - wait 60 sec, sequence 2 - wait 60 sec, sequence3 - DISCONNECT".
in 2 min the call will be disconnected and line released.

I couldnt find in DISA System option.

Please advise

What exactly are you trying to do?
For a Que you will need to record a que message.
Point on the Dil table (found at - 10.CO & Incoming Lines) for each line that you want to here the AA or Que message on point it there.

If you look at the Queing Time table and select table 1 on the first sequence tab and scroll down to OGM1 that will be your first Que message.

The que message will be recorded under the DISA Message 01 (Floating Extension 501) To record Dial *36 1 501 Record message Auto dial store then the message will play.

OGM1 = DISA Message 01 (Floating Extension 501)
OGM2 = DISA Message 02 (Floating Extension 502)
OGM3 = DISA Message 03 (Floating Extension 503)

and so on....

By the way, do you know how to setup the inter-site CO connections. example we have 3 PBXs on the different countries that were interconnect to each other namely site1,site2 and site3, then the site 1, will use the CO of site 2 to use call locally instead of using International dialing calls. do you get my point?

That solution will get the calls to disconnect after time but if people are answering the calls they will still get the dead line if someone hangs up
