Direcway Sattellite and Cisco VPN - will it work?

Can Cisco VPN work across a Direcway residential satellite hookup? Can it work across a business class Direcway system? Can Cisco VPN work across satellite ( reliably ) at all?

I have done the obvious seraches but still don't have a strong feel for this. End-user tech support from the actual provider has been bad.

It can be done, but with significant bandwidth loss. It really isnt much better than 56k, if at all. I work for DirecTV and I just happen to come across that info yesterday. Hope it helps.

Is there any documentation on this matter?. I just install direcway dish and would love to get this to work.
