Hi There, is it possible to use the (speed dial) short code in conjunction with the dirctory number on a user that is barred via outgoing barr or via the user right?
i have set a system short code eg: CODE *7N
FEATURE: SPEED DIAL
TELEPHONE NUMBER N
this works fine with the users that have no barring level but with the users that are barred they cant use this function.
The system is a IPO 500v2 version 8.1 (52).
the problem i also have is , if i put the 500+ speed dial under the user rights and save it off line, my manager tool won't alow me to save the config properly. it will come up with an error message and then save. if i open the config again in offline, then all the user rights that i created is gone.
Please help...

unitck at call bar and put a user short code of ?/Barred/./0 or 9N/Barred/./0 instead. Same effect just another way around.

Hi guys, I got it sorted. thanks for all the help.

Hi There, after seeing several threads that talk about the speed dial on the IP Office 500. I see you have to make a Shortscode with "SPEED DIAL" but I do not see "SPEED DIAL" on the features. if "DIAL" or "DIAL DIRECT". but not the one I want.

Anyone know if that depends on the software or other reason

press help in Manager
Do so when you are programming a shortcode and you will see all features available and when clicking on it you see details

Give a tech a solution and he will be back tomorrow to ask you the next question, teach a tech how to read the manual and he will be able to solve the problems for a life time.

And it only came in on R8 so if would depend on your core s/w too buddy

Speed dial keys (not SC) are only for T3 phones and i bet you don't have those so it won't work what you are trying. Just use the contact button or create a SC RANGE like:

1001/dial/0101111111/??ARS
1002/dial/00440122345566/??ARS
1003/dial/020123455678/??ARS
1004/dial/009000123456/??ARS

If you put the 1001....1004 into the directory with a name then you see also the name of the dialed SC
