Director 5 weirdness-projector different than movie!

Working on a multiple choice exam in director 5. Runs beautifully within director (limited to 5 questions for simplicity). Anyway, all the questions show up (questions are stored in a list which is initilized at the beginning, and then fed into a text member as each question is called up).

Again, runs great within director, but when I create a projector, it uses the same question text for all 5 questions, although the answers change to reflect the actual questions. Why work in one place, but not as a projector?
