Hi,

I have a Networker 7.2.1 on aix 5.2.
For a same client, I have 3 groups : system - application and exploit.
For example:
System : All saveset and directive
Exp : save set /logf60 - /ficf60
App : save set /appf60

In the system directive, I want to exclude /logf60 - /ficf60 and /appf60.
So, I have created << /logf60 >> +skip: . and so on ....

The problem: Each time that system group is launched, an empty entry is created in the index database
Example for /logf60
4294188120 0 0 KB 29.08.06 incr

So that means, when files are modified on the client, if the system group is launched before incremental exploit group, the files are not saved !!!!

How can I do If I don't want to have entry in the index database when system group??? I have already tried +null - skip - null.
Thanks

It is not often used but i think you can also add directories as attributes. At least this was possible a while ago. Try:

<< / >>
+skip: directory_1 directory2 etc

sound slike that should work, i have done it like this in the past

<< /logf60 >>
+skip: dir1
+skip: dir2

why not reverse engineer this and exclude the directories from root level, as the other way may be asking it to still "walk" the filesystem, but exclude everything inside.

<< / >>
+skip: logf60
+skip: ficf60
+skip: appf60
