I was lead to believe that this key would transfer a call to the entered destination. ie DirTrns 1234 rather than the other tranfser key where by the proceedure in Trns 1234 Trns?
Is this not the case because it doesn't seem to be working.

Also, do any of you out there have the facility on a normal Trfr to put the call through on hang up??
ie incoming call>answer>trfr 1234>hangup (rather than trfr again)

DirTransfer is used to join two calls on hold while dropping out of the conversation. So like this:

Call 1->Hold
Call 2->Hold
DirTransfer

Call 1 and Call 2 are connected. You are disconnected.

Yeah just found out we have a busy trigger of 1 on our phones and most are 7912's. So it wont come into play much.
Just looking at a way now to transfer via a a hang up or at the end of entering the ext number.
Once again thanks John.
