Currently, when I print direct from Quark, it only prints part of the document with most of it off the page.

What kind of printer do I require to print direct from Quark? What specifically do I look out for when purchasing this printer - Is it a postscript type printer?

Are there any particular laser printers you can recommend?

Thanks.

Have you double checked all tabs in the print dialog? It sounds like you have something mis-adjusted. There is no magic printer for Quark. While a Postscript printer would be good, you should be able to print to anything.

Yeah, make sure your page setup is the right size of paper. Another thing to look at might be the tiling option. If your rulers are in the wrong position, your page might be print in a different position than you want it on the paper.

Yup all settings seem fine but currently when I print from Quark, the document is set to Tabloid size for a newspaper but when I set it to 'fit to page' it is still off the page.

I was told that I would require a Postscript driver printer as currently, the printer I use (Epson Stylus C60) doesn't have such support.

Thanks for your replies.

Maybe I didn't explain the problem fully... I am printing A3 page sizes from Quark, when I tried to 'fit to page' it still is cut off the page when printed.

Unfortunately I only have an A4 printer so what would I require to ensure A3 pages can fit on to A4 paper?

I hope that is better explained.

Apologises.

Did you set the paper size in the print dialog to A4?

Check paper orientation in the print dialog

Check you have the latest and correct driver for exactly your make and model of printer

Instead of using "fit to page", try putting in a specific enlargment/reduction. A3 to A4 is 71%.

Are you on a Mac or Windows platform?

I'm finding a similar problem with Quark 5.0.1 on a Mac. I am unable to orient the page properly on my output device. I find myself saving back to Quark 4 to output pages.

Do you have the right PPD file installed? The PPD files used in Q4 are not automatically transferred to Q5 when you installed the newer version.
