Hi,

Is it possible to have a direct interface with my Pervasive Data Files without the use of ODBC.

The problem I'm having:
I want to edit some fields with key values but odbc doesn't allow me to.

---------------------------
Changeserialnumber
---------------------------
[Pervasive][ODBC Client Interface][LNA][Pervasive][ODBC Engine Interface][Data Record Manager]The key field is not modifiable(Btrieve Error 10). Component is PvQuery1, owned by frmChangeSN.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

So no I have to export the database first change the data en set de database back into CounterPoint.
I think a direct Connect without ODBC might help.

The other way to get around it is to delete the old row and insert a new one.

If you are getting an error 10, then you will not be able to modify that field regardless of whether you use ODBC or Btrieve. The modifiable attribute isn't set through ODBC but at the Btrieve file level on the index.
Deleting and inserting a new row is the only way to change that field.
