Hi and thank you,

I've had someone set up our ccr tree as I am very new to this. After the main greeting, callers are offered options ( 1 for , 2 for ...)

If the caller selects option 5 the call is forwarded to an extension. My question is, can more then the one phone be made to ring on that option ? I was told by the installer that I could not.

Only 1 DN is correct, but that DN could be a HG (Hunt Group) with many members. Also, Answer DNs can be handy.

Yes use Hunt Groups on newer software.
Set up the members into HG 001 and then point path 5 to the HG's DN #.

For older software Answer DN's is the only method.
Suggest to use an unused port on the KSU, tag it DO NO USE.
Then assign that DN as an Answer DN to the other sets.
It will go to what ever mailbox you program to answer first so beware.

Sound advice. If you do use answer dn's, definitely do this! We've got a tenant serviced MICS in a medical office. I'd set up a ans dn for a triage group. A year later, the other tenant had me install another set, and I used the next available one. (the ans dn ext.)

A week later, I got a call that all triage calls were going to the pharmacy. I spent an hour eating crow for not tagging the block.

I set this up on an 8x24 and I can call the phamtom DN and it rings except when we try to connect through the CCR, it says "the extension you dialed is not in service" Any other programming necessary to make it ring through the AA / CCR

Right... Their system ia a 4.1 MICS. As a rule, a phone (old 7100, or a set someone's spilled coke on) in the TC is your best bet. This also solves the tagging issue on the block, as the set will show a device under MAINT.
