Can anyone suggest a way to parallel a call on a digital set to an analog extension? Something like bridged appearance but that works with an analog extension (or like the old share system access buttons from Merlin Magix).

The application is for a radio station where the jock places a call from the digital set but and then needs to get the call to the hybrid connected to an analog extension so it can go to air. Once the call has been put to air the jock may then need to get the call back on the digital set and transfer it to another extension or just take the callers info down. The current setup is to allow one touch transfer from the digital extension to the analog one (put the call to the hybrid) and call steal (get the call back on the digital set). Sadly the sequence for one touch transfer and call steal seems to much for some jocks so here I am asking for advice on how to make is easier.

Suggestions?

If you program the analog extension as a user button on the digital set and then enter Enable_OTT on the digital extension in the Source Number Tab that will enable you to transfer just by hitting the analog user button on the digital set. I believe this will work on Digital sets just like IP sets but I may be wrong. Now, how to get it back to the digital from the analog.....

We are already using OTT to transfer calls to the analog extension. Getting them back is accomplished by the call steal feature. This ends up being a 2 button solution. Having the ability for a digital and analog extension to share system access would be the ideal solution. Think of it like having 2 phones on the same jack.

You have it as good as it will get, if they can't manage pushing 2 buttons they aren't a very good DJ :)
