On the Avaya G3. Does anyone know if I can attach a digital test set on the 66 block and get dial tone if a set is already present on it?

They make a 66 block to RJ-45 adaptor that may do what you are after. I am not sure if you can use this on a working line though.

Those come in handy when there is a suspected bad port. When it comes down to that just remove your jumpers from the port and use the plug on the block. I just looked at mine and there is no part number. You should be able to get them from Graybar or Anixter. Just plug it up correctly. This is how the back pins out.
