Is there a SLS with a MWI that will work off a Nortel MICS 7.0 for a small motel?

The customer wants to DC the older 2500 sets so I would like to use traditionla digital sets in stead of analogs and DC the ASM modules.

Any suggestions?

Digital sets compatible with the MICS are M/T 7100, 7208, M7310, T7316/E, M7324.

For the rooms, if digital, I'd either go with a T7100 (as I described in your other post), or a T7208, and make the other buttons speed dials for pizza, etc...

I did look at these sets and it would make life esier to stick with all digital and avoid the ASM's. How do you feel about the guests pulling up the desi lables has this been an issue.

Also would assume that the DuVoice will light up the MWI and I guess the display will show a message waiting as well as CID if the customer wants that service?

One more item of interest. Have you found any problems with guests stealing the sets? If so how have you dealth with that? I was thinking about snipping off a part of the mod. clip so they would have to pick it out instead of just and easy removal of the mod. cord from the base of the set.

Any thoughts on this would be helpfull. Believe it or not after 30 years in teh biz this is my first motel/hotel site I have always installed office systems.

You could mount the set directly to the desk/dresser. I know we did a Minor League baseball stadium and had issues with people stealing the sets from the luxury boxes. We mounted the backplane to the table in the bix and phones stopped disappearing.

As far as DuVoice lighting MWI I am not really sure but the digital sets have light on the LCD that light up when a message is left and I do believe there is an option on for external message waiting.

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

MWI can be done on analog, but I'm not sure about clid.

As yet, we haven't had an issue with sets disappearing, but I'm sure you could follow CTCINY's advice, and screw the base to a dresser.

How about the Desi lables. Do you find them being removed? I am considering using the single line sets with one feature button and having the customer provide paper "tents" on the night stand with instructions on how to use and dial each feature and department.

I've never had trouble with desi's going missing, but if they do, they're simple enough for the front desk to print out and replace.
