I have a new customer that needs a wireless solution.
How is Nortel's Digital Mobility working?
(This site is a medical out-patient surgery center-26000 sq.ft)
Any suggestions on a good Nortel dealer to purchase/quote Digital Mobility gear?(wholesale)
What does the deployment tool do?
According to Nortel specs-a base can cover 50,000 sq.feet??
Any comments/suggestions?

Thank You.

Works great if done right!

Deployment tool is to giove an idea where to place base and how many stations so that you have coverage where you need.

Ignore the specs, you have other things to look into such as interfernce items, concrete walls and stair case etc.
You are best getting a vendor to deploy.

You will need to shop for a vendor elsewhere and not on these forums I'm afraid.....you should be calling those local to you.

DMC is very good. Tel sets have volume issues, but coverage is awesome. It hands off fron cell to cell. You need a special program to admin, and test. It admins via serial connection. And, you need to have an RJ45 crimp tool to install APs.

They've worked great for me, far better than the companion.

The software dewey is talking about is included on the MICS 7.x docs cd. On my first DMC install, it didn't occur to me to look there. It isn't included with the DMC, but you need 7.x to run it anyway.
