We are currently using an IVR system using analog ports for the IVR. However, we are looking into a new IVR system, but that system utilizes digital ports for connectivity. Has anyone set this up with any success? I know that avaya won't support it, but does it work?

I realize the concept behind IVR ports and why they are analog, but here is the description from the toolkit:

IVR Port: Provides a disconnect clear signal to the attached device at the end of calls. This is required by some third party devices. When selected the Disconnect Pulse Width is displayed and can be adjusted if necessary. Note: This feature is only configurable when the locale setting is configured for enu (United States).

Any suggestions would be great!

It's a system for a financial institution. The IVR system in this case handles both speech as well as touch tones. While I know that the VMPro can do speech recognition, the extent of the capabilities don't match up.

The key question would simply be what is meant by digital - the term covers a whole range of protocol.

I would expect either a digital trunk format (PRI, BRI, QSIG). IP Office support all those to various degrees.

I suppose it might also be IP whhich would be interesting.

Digital extension ports unlikely unless they've reverse engineered the DS signalling.
