Hello all. I have a question about DMI tables. I understand how to delete leading digits and insert leading digits but I'm at a loss when it comes to inserting digits at the end of a dial string.

I want to set up a dialing plan that allows a user to dial "6" and a 3-digit location number in order to reach one of our 300 retail locations. Our carrier handles the call and uses the number to route the call to the location's T1. They need to see 6-xxx-000 where the "xxx" is the 3-digit store number. I want to be able to add the "000" to the end of the dial string and send the call out to our carrier. Can this be done?

Thanks in advanced for any help.

is 6 ac2? if so i dial 6 xxx, the switch asorbs the 6, sends xxx to the rlb/rli/entry. example store123 i dial 6123, use a dmi to delete 3 insets 6123000... you could use a few other work arounds but that would be pretty clean..

I was going to use either ac2 or a cdp entry. Either way, I was trying to avoid having to delete the leading 3 or 4 digits. I would have to do this for every location (over 300). If there's a way to just add "000" to the end, I can just send the 4 digits and the "000" to the carrier. That way, as I add a location, I would not have to do any additional programming.

Any other suggestions? Thanks.

fred8677, DMI tables are designed to delete and insert leading digits only. You would be looking at creating a separate DMI table and RLI for each of your locations. Have you considered using a system speed call list? Then, a user could dial a 3-digit number that would then dial the entire string that you need (ex: dial 100 would then dial 6123000).

I would consider any solution to this requirement. System Speed would require me to keep up with additional locations as well. Also, we are already using system speed for something else. Is there a way to allow users to access 2 different system speed call lists?

I guess there is no way to do what I'm looking to do. Other systems are capable of this. It's disappointing that an Option 61C can't do this.

you can have more than one system speed dial list. I don't remember exactly how I did this at one of my sites but I wanted my users to dial 4000 to reach our NYC office so I made 40 an alternate system speed dial access and made entry 00 point to our NYC office. Perhaps you could use 6 as a flexible feature code for system speed dial and make it 999 numbers and for each three-digit code have it insert the number you're trying to call? good luck!

you can have access to mult station speed, i don't think system speed. the only way i can see is with ac2 and dmi's, one per store.. if you know procomm aspect.. you can run a script to add all 300 entrys in about an hour.. one npa for each store on ac2
