DIfficulty opening files

Whenever someone sends me a GIF or a JPEG, by default, it opens in Microsoft Photo Editor. What would I need to do to open it in Internet Explorer by default. Thanks!

Open Windows Explorer > Select Tools > Folder Options > File Types tab > scroll down until you find the desired file type > highlight it > click the "Change..." button in the "Opens with:" area > and select the desired program (Internet Explorer) and hit OK

Better late then never
Try Right Clicking the JPEG/GIF and selecting IE to view with.
