Lotus notes allows me to create two form with exactly same name.
In programming how can I distinguish between these two forms and act on them differently. Is there any Id or something?

If the forms do have the exact same name and alias, then you have a save conflict. One of the two needs to be deleted.
Proceed as for a Save/Replication conflict on a normal document. Make a Synopsis of both forms and find out where the differences are, choose one form to update and delete the other one.

Pascal.

I've got nothing to hide, and I'd very much like to keep that away from prying eyes.

There is no conflict. If you copy one Form and paste and change its name exactly similar to first one.....then Lotus notes allows us to do so without any restriction.

So you made a copy and gave it the same name. If you want to differentiate the two, I suggest you give them an alias.
