Hi Guys,

I would like to setup my systems so that laptop users have one profile whilst connected to Citrix and another profile whilst operating on their local notebook.

So basically in Citrix, limit users so that they cant get into control panel etc, however when they are at home working on their local machines, they have access to some control panel options.

Can anyone please advise on a solution for this issue.

thankyou

Are you running Windows 2000 AD? If so, you can configure a group policy for the laptop users that logon to Citrix.

Let me know and I'll fill you in on the rest.

JCDugas,

We have a Windows 2000 server running AD. And we have citrix metaframe. Any help you can give would be apprecaited more than you could imagine!!

Hey JCDugas, can you help me out here?! Or can someone else provide some insight?

Hello,

I had the same issue and solved it playing around with the inverse bucle directive and OUs for the fat clients. I mean, create a new OU to get the workstations in and enable the inverse bucle directive on a GPO linked to this OU. This way we get a local fat unlimited session and a limited terminal services/citrix session on the farm.

I hope this helps
Regards.
