I wonder Does the P series server have lot of different than other servers in AIX.Because I am good in AIX 4.3 and worked RS6000 .just quiries to know about the P series server.

Thanks in advance....

pSeries is the IBM Regatta series which runs AIX 5L and has a hardware management console to maintain the cluster. The HMC by the way runs Linux on a PC. The pSeries is becoming more "mainframe-like" in hardware and software capabilites with LPARS and with AIX 5.3 the ability to slice the CPU to run 10 OS images.

pSeries is the new marketing name for RS/6000 family,
like xSeries for Intel based server or
iSeries for AS/400 and
zSeries for OS/390 ( Main frame )
