Can anyone tell me the difference between US Version and INTL Version? I am in Australia, will US Version work here?

Thanks

What i understand in this forum is that the us version is a worse version than the intl version and has less features.

What do you mean by version?

The IP Office hardware is the same throughout the world. The US (and Japan and Canada) use T1 instead of E1 ISDN so obviously have different trunk cards for that. Analogue trunk cards are also different because of the different standards. But the system itself is the same.

The power supply will obviously be different to Aus (and the majority of the world) because the US uses 110V as opposed to 230/240V.

Setting the Locale to ENU (US) as opposed to ENA (Aus) will set the system up for settings like trunk timers and ring patterns etc that are specific to the US. It will also enable the E911 option. It will also setup the language for the Voicemail.

Actually all of the control units are available in a US version and International versions.

However to my knowledge, the hardware of those control units is the same, its just the firmware that differs. Defaulting the units gives different defaults for various features. For example dial 9 prefix dialing in the US, no prefix required in the free world. However most of this can all be changed/undone/redone in configuration if required.

The only US only feature I can think of is E911 routing for dial emergency short codes. The only non-US feature is internal twinning and IP DECT lines. However those are simple locked in the software.

I mean the software not the hardware.

I was referring to hardware, they do label the box US or INTL.

Thanks

I have shipped US 403 processors to both UK and Aus and have had no issues with them. The power supply lead, as mentioned, is obviously different.
