Hi, i'm looking for some cat 5 cable so I can network a few machines using a router, i checked out and theres a lot of different cat 5 cables.

Whats the difference between "snagless" and "assembled", i noticed snagless is more expensive than assembled. All i need is a few patch cables for the network.

thanks

Matt

Snagless cables have a flexible plastic hood that covers the little locking lever on an rj-45 connector. If you have a tangle of cables, you can pull the cable through the tangle without snagging another cable. Assembled cables have the connector attached, but not the little hood over the tips.
