Just curious what the main differences are between Autocad 2000 and Autocad 2000i. I have a user, that does not have internet access, wanting to load 2000i instead of 2000. Is there any major upgrades or changes or special features that 2000i has that 2000 doesn't?

Thanks
Robert

I think one of the best newest in 2000i is the layer converting by a convert tool. It is much more easy to handle like the conversation with a ccf-file.

One problem you may very well get with mixing 2000 and 2000i is the incompatibility with plotter colour tables and pen weights. Believe it or not 2000 and 2000i are not compatible when it comes to plotting. From what I can remember (we're on 2002 now) if you produce a drawing in 2000i and try to plot it on a 2000 machine the pen weights and / or colour rendition are not the same. Too late now probably.

Is it also true that AutoCad2000 is NOT compatible with Windows 2000, but AutoCad2000i is?
We are currently having MAJOR issues loading AutoCad2000 to a new Windows2000 PC.

If you program in vb, the object model has changed and the version of vb is newer. FYI.
