Can a did dial long distance number ? I have a fax that's connected to this did, when I dial a number I got a tone to enter my long distance code. when enter this code it doesn't work.
Thanks for your help.
I am trying to fax in France : it does not work, It does not take all digit I enter on the phone
I enter 901133 + 9 digit phone number + ##(pause) + 5 digit long distance code
But when I can call : it does work because I dial the number after the machine talk saying that to enter the long distance access code, as I enter it dial to France.
For the fax, I cannot enter the code after. So, I put the all the number at the same time.
And when it comes to dialing, I think, somehow, it is does not take all the digit
I would bet that the pauses are what are causing your issue. Try to dial the machine off hook, then you shouldn't have to add the pauses. We encounter that frequently with staff.
Instead of programming the number in and hitting the start button on the fax, hit the button for dialtone, then manually dial. If the machine has that button anyway.
Just for the update, I did as you guys said : I scan the paper and after I dial the phone number and wait for the system to ask for the access code. After, I dial the code and the fax went without any problem.
Another update too, I did the monitoring on DCH and in the called filed : it shows : 33 +9 digit Paris phone number + 5 digit access code = total of 16 digits
It's like 9011 are missing in the front and my thought is that system is limited with max digit of 16
Please advice if I am mistaken and how to correct if possible
