Ok, here is a customer config. of a system that they are having installed:

400EC
308EC
R5 Proc.
Partner Mess. 6 port

They are going to have the telco provide DID numbers for them. The questions I have are:

1. Is there anything I am missing system-wise that the DID's need to function?

2. If the user is on a call, and another call comes in on their DID, does that call go to voicemail, or does the caller just get a busy signal?

I may not be able to fix it, but I certainly can't break it any further- Jay

a new prccessor and t1 module!! t1 & d.i.d on rev 6 acs and above

Ok, that's what I figured. May just push the R7 since they need an upgrade anyway.

Thanks!

Ok, so what about the incoming call question? Does it roll to VM, or just send out a busy signal?

Hey also this does not do d.i.d phone numbers like you think
it does a T1 with D.I.D cost large!!

if it is like the stuff i work on and you are on
an outgoing call all phones are busy no answer to voicemail
which means that voicemail would pick up right away

DID calls come in on the intercom buttons. As long as you have an open intercom button, the call will come in. With the DID's you can point them to a ringing group of extensions, BUT you will need to do some "rigging" to make voice mail cover those calls.
