We have a mixed envoirment here- some people have DID numbers to give to the outside world, while others go thru a switch operator who forwards the calls to the proper extension. Is there a command to see how many DID numbers I have available?

You can do the following:

LD 20

REQ: PRT
TYPE: LUDN
CUST: YOUR CUSTOMER NUMBER HERE
DN: IF YOUR DID'S START WITH 2, THEN YOU CAN JUST PUT A 2 HERE AND HIT ENTER. IT WILL SHOW YOU ALL UNUSED DN'S. YOU WILL THEN KNOW THE DID RANGE YOU ARE USING AND WHAT YOU HAVE LEFT.

Only way to find out is to contact your service provider for local service. They should be able to give you a list of what numbers you are being billed for.

right, your provider or your bill should show your did range, ludn will show all unused dn's in the switch

Ask your LEC to send you a CSR. Never know what you'll find...along wit your DID blocks.

Thanks to all- a call to the phone company and a look at a phone bill
gave me the necessary info.
