DID Number to ring a phantom user on 9608 phone

I need to have a DID number ring a group of phones on a separate button on 9608 phones.
I setup a phantom user ext 1234
I set the DID to ring to that ext 1234 user
I programmed a bridged appearance button on the 9608 phone on button 10 for ext 1234

when I call the DID the call goes directly to voicemail of ext 1234 and never rings the button.

Any ideas?

IPO recognizes the phantom user as not logged in. You can try to link that user with a free analogue extension or try to enable mobile twinning to a target that will not pick up the call and enable twinning when logged out for that user.

Why not using a GROUP button?

That will flash if a call on the huntgroup is received.

derfloh is correct bridged app does not work on phantom extensions they need a phone attached. I would use the hunt group method with a button to highlight where the call is coming from.

I would do the same but the group button will not ring and you have to push the button to get the call.

Not if you're also a member of the group you don't, and it rings as well

Thanks for all the responses- adding the phantom user and the 9608 user to a hunt group and adding the hunt group button seem to work.
