On one of the 2008 phone sets I have a DID number that is not on the primary Key. Just an independent ext. When somebody calls it from outside and it's busy, the caller is forwarded to the attendant instead of Voice Mail. Any Idea why it's happening. The Primary DN on that phone is fine, callers are forwarded to the Messaging service if it's busy.

Thanks.

As far as I know he does, if he don't use CFTA then he needs to change the Intercept treatment for calls in the CDB which I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

When you turn on CFTA you'll get 2 addotional prombts
EFD (where external calls are routed if not answered)
EHT (where external calls go if busy)
If you set FBA in the CLS then that will send busy DID calls to the attendant and not to your vmail.
Good luck

Sorry wrong about the Intercept that's for system users isn't it. I'm playing around with my CFTA to what it does.

If you still can't get this to work maybe you should just build a dummy 500 port, make 3841 the DN and set the hunt/fna to voicemail. This should work. (you may also be able to set up a phantom TN but I'm not familiar with that). But i think if you have a free analog/500 port you should try this. make the CLS HTA FNA MWA

conigilio you are right, CFTA depends on how you have everthing set up in the CDB I just happen to have my FNAD set up for FDN and I forgot. Sorry if I misled anyone. Have we even looked at the CDB and see how DID calls are handled?
Also is the RDB marked as a External or Internal trunk rout because this will affect the forwarding also.
