BCM 400:

Customer called and reported that the DID number that they use to send faxed to and send faxes from was just ringing several times and then went to the AA.

I came in an toned the line which terminated on LINE 252 which I assume is an analog line on the BCM.

I get battery but no dial tone. Whne I called the DID number I got a busy signal.

SOme IT people were in the com closet the other day so I dont know what they did.

Should I reboot? All the rest of the terminals for the analog service also have battery but no dial tone. this is on pins 3 and 4 on the 66 block.

Line 252 is just the target line, what is the ext. for the fax? Find out where the GASM terminates on the frame and check it for dial tone with your butt set. May want to check them all if you say you are having issues with all analog devices.

Checked all the 8 ports at the 66 block were the GASM is terminated and all have battery but no dial tone.

They only use on device which is a fax machine. Their DID xxx-3311 is pointed to that fax machine. I get battey on the line cord of course at the fax machine but no dial tone.

Can I HOT SWAP the GASM card without taking the system off line or powering it down?
