Hey Everyone,

I have a fusion networked set of IMX 2400 switches. I want to take the existing DiD/DoD's and convert them over to PRI's.

Has anyone done this before? If so could you give me a run down of what was needed? Any information would be great.

Thanks in advance!

Hey VN

what type of did and dod cards do you have now?
If you have say tlt for the did rt
and cot for the dod rt
you will have to get pri cards
and change the did range to the pri circuit
and get it set up for did and out going.
change the atrk and cut it over. Sounds easy but I recommend getting a nec vendor for the job...
or hire me as a consultant.....

We have T-1's for Digital DOD/DID and a few analog DOD/DID trunks. When we convert to PRI we will need to replace all of the trunk cards (digital and analog) over to PRI correct?

Can I leave the point to point links (ccis) in place between the switches? Or do these need to be converted to a PRI link as well?

Also if anyone has been through this before if you could give me a run down of what was involved I would greatly appreciate it. I just want to get a better understanding of what we will be having done.

Thanks!

Add new PRI cards Assign PC code for the Voice and data routes that is not being used in your network,
Some folks match the trunk route and the Point code.
You will not need to change the CCIS codes but make sure you allow ARRC-ARRCN for the new routes to the CCIS ETC.
If you are using CDR you may want to expanded the SMDR to capture the incoming call record
ASYD INDEX 241 BIT 4
Also for the CCIS links have CI assigned as a 1 you may find this need to be on when sending an incoming PRI call from PBX to PBX

You should look around for the ISDN install guide it is very helpful,
