Hello,

I am having problem in working GC_BASIC_DEMOS provided with the SR5.1.1.

I am using the emulator for the testing, with out the real dialogic card.

In the Configuration file for the GC_Demos i chose the ANAPI, protocols, it didn't work. When i chose PDK Analog it worked but not fully. Previously the gc_openex was not functioning at all, but later it atleast returned the -1 value indicating failure. when inspected for the case of failure, the gc_errormessage in the GC_ERRORINFO gives - dt_open error info.

We have chosen the board, D4PCI in the emulator, moreover the Protocol is analog hence in the devicename parameter of the gc_openex() need not to be containing the Network Device name :)N_dtiB1T1)....

Now my doubt is If Emulator is for Call analysis why it breaks when doing in Global call... Is the board chosen(D4PCI) is not analog??? What board we have to choose..
When trying for the ISDN protocol also the same problem persists....

Will the Global call work with Emulator??? If so why its not in our case....

Suggest me...

The D4PCI is an analog card, therefore ISDN tests will not work for it.

I can't speak to the emulator, I've never attempted to use it. The cards are very cheap, especially if you buy one on E-bay. I would never trust the emulator, even if it is distributed by the manufacturer.

While I do now know of this emulator, I do know that the D41PCI is not supported by GlobalCall:

And if you are trying to open an analog channel, you want to pass a string to gc_open() that looks like this:

dxxxB1C1

Rather than a digital timeslot like "dtiT1B1".

Hope this helps,

Rob
