Hi there,

This question relates to the IP Office 500 that I have just installed.

The chap for whom it was installed owns 8 different companies and uses the same system for all by just setting different groups etc.

As the MD of all companies he has stated that he wants to be able to choose what number he dials out on. He wants to be able to dial out on company 1's number when he needs to, then company 2's when he needs to and so on.

They have ISDN30 and 30DDI's. Is this possible?

Regards,

Adam

Yes but i am not sure it is going to be easy. One way would be different ARS groups with different outgoing caller id. THe issue there would be you will need different dial out codes. like 9 for company 1, 8 for company 2 ect ect. it could crash with your extensions. i am not sure you can do 2 digit codes. then you could do like 91, 92, 93 etc to get to ARS. I am sure someone will have a better idea but i am not sure.

That's what I wanted to do, Give him a different button to press to gain each different line.

Thank you for your quick reply :)

Example.

Based on a UK Example
I want to display
01234567890 in one call &
01234567891 in another.

I create 2 ARS Groups.
51 Company1
52 Company2

In company one I would have a default of
SC ?
Tel .
Feat Dial
LG 0
I would modify this to be
SC ?
Tel .s567890 (Where this matching the digits my line provider send)
Feat Dial
LG 51 (Company1)

In company two I would have a default of
SC ?
Tel .
Feat Dial
LG 0
I would modify this to be
SC ?
Tel .s567891 (Where this matching the digits my line provider send)
Feat Dial
LG 52 (Company2)

In the user shortcodes I would then do some thing like

SC ?
Tel .
Feat Dial
LG 51

SC 9N
Tel N
Feat Dial
LG 52

So if user dials 0123411111 it matches ? and shows 01234567890 as its CLI.

If the user dials 901234111111 it matches 9N and shows 01234567891 as its CLI.

I guess you could do some thing with buttons too, would need to play about with these though.

Agree with comment using ARS tables but you can just use shortcodes. Have also thought about using bridged appearance keys to try to do the same but not tried it myself as of yet.

The only issue with teh bridged appearances is you need a pysical phone on the port of the bridged phone. So you would need 8 different phones somewhere to make it work.
