I am getting a dial tone on all phones, I can receive and transfer incoming calls, yet when I try to dial out nothing occurs...Can someone help me?? Thank You.

Is the system in PBX or key mode?
How are you trying to dial out?
Check your FRL and restrictions.
Set a dial out code for an ext. and bypass ARS and see if you can get out.

KILLBOX

Killbox,
Thank you for responding. I have the system set on PBX. We have centrix. There are no restrictions. We set FLR at least restriction. I can dial out of system phone with no problems. All of the extention phones when you click on the button to call out you hear a tone, then you hit 9 you receive a dial tone, then you dial your number and nothing happens.
Thank you for your help,
Mike

Considering you are set for CENTREX, I think you need to dial an extra 9.

Merlinman,
Thank you for your interest, however I wish it was that easy.
Mike

I think it's a issue with the centrex too. Let's bypass ARS 1st.

Set a dial out code for an ext. Go to extensions, dial out code, put an ext. # in, and put in the pool number you have the lines in. Go to that ext. now, dial the dial out code, then dial 9 (For centrex) and dial a number. See if you can get out then.

If you can it's a 2nd 9 issue, where you'll have to add digit in tables, ARS, Sub A, for local and LD.

KILLBOX

Give the dial out code a shot. That's a sure troubleshooting method that's easy. Then we'll know if it's the table in ARS or not.

KILLBOX

Killbox and Merlinmann,

Thank you both for your efforts, When I go to the office Friday I will try and let you know.

Thank You,
Mike
