Hi

I use Nortel Norstar system;
When I dial a number from outside, let's say 555,it always rings on 777, in fact when im dialing it, I can even hear it ring, the person on 777 picks it up right away; It work fine internaly, but never from the outside..is there a place where this is forwarded and I can't find it or is it something else....
Thanks

Gorance:

Need more information. Which system do you have and what SW level? What type of connection do you have to the LEC, T-1, PRI or Loop Start lines? This will help for starters!

I have nortel norstar vm 4.0; nru 8.1; and it's PRI

Thanks

are u dialing thru AA?

you might want to check if some lines are assigned thru mailboxes

is 5 an option in CCR to transfer to 777?

Check in your hunt group set up and see if there is a hunt group associated with DN 555.

Thanks for your replies
I looked at the hunt groups, couldn't find it there, I think I didnt miss it (unless there is a way that I can look up the hunt gripus by extensions- assosiation of certain extension with the hunt groups)

We dont use ccr, still loked here, the only thing it says- No CCR trees are currently defined.

Is this on every call from the outside?

Are you calling from a cordless or cellphone?

How about if you call outside from your on site?

Steve,
It is on every singl call, and it doesn't matter if i use a cell phone or regular phone.

thanks, I still do not know why is it forwarding to another ext. when dialed from the outside....

Is this once the call has hit the AutoAttendant or are you dialing a DID?

What is your FNA/FB extension on 555?

What is your VMDN?

Did you check the Recd digits on 777?
