Dialing International 1

I have a user who needs to dial international. The filters on the lines are set pretty high so he can't dial international. What can I do to allow him to be able to dial but not other users in the office. Do I add the filter on the set or on the lines?
 
You might try a COS. When you enter F68 the system is looking for a password (of your choosing) that will unlock restrictions for one call.
If you don't know this just ask and I will help you.

The vm has a COS which I have changed from 1 to 7. I'm not familiar on how to change it on the phone system. We have a USA-MICX-XL 1.0 ( modular ics). If you could help me out, that would great!
 
It depends where the restrictions are programmed at. You have to determine if they are at the set, line, or set/line level, and change them appropriately. If you had COS restrictions, you would probably be aware of it because users would have to have passwords. Your vendor should be able to quickly determine what restrictions you have, and change them to allow for international dialing
 
The filter is set on both the line and the set. We had some fraud at the beggining of the year so we added additional restrictions to the filters. The vendor said there was no way someone could get a dial tone from the NOrstar system or vm. Well they got out somehow..right? Thats one of my concerns changing the filter. Thanks!
 
What I did for that instance for 2 persons only. I set up a new filter, assigned one particular line out of their pool, assigned that to a different pool with the same filter. Only those 2 users knew the pool code & password. This also kept the calling on one line to monitor charges.

So the user would dial a 7 instead of a 9 for example?
