I have an issue with dialing from the incoming call log (when I have missed a call). The reason is because my system requires a 9 to dial an outside line and incoming caller ID doesn't have a 9 in front of it.

Has anyone put in shortcodes to make this work? I am looking to be able to dial both local and LD numbers if possible.

The system is on 4.1. IP500. 5420 and 5410 phones.

you can add a prefix on the line. It will insert what ever you put in on the calls and make it so you can dial out.

so if I add a 9 I can get local, but what about LD, I'm assuming I can't accomplish both...?

you could try and add 9 and 1 or you could play with the short codes to get it to work. You could add codes like this if it is a local number

9504xxxxxxx
dial
N
line of PRI

THis will only send the x's out. you would need to do this for all the local.

Can't you add it to:
line -> prefix, national prefix and international prefix ?

Or do you need a different prefix to dial for a long distance call?
