Alright, short of making an extension a hotline to dial to the operator, is there another way to make an extension to automatically dial another extension when it goes off hook?.. (that is not the operator)... The system is a 2400 IPX. Thanks for any help.

To the best of my knowledge, you can hotline to any destination you want!

Yes... we used to have hotlines to the security office when I worked in corrections; which was certainly not the operator. Granted, that was on a 2000, but the 2400 should be the same concept.

Just my 2¢

Yes, thanks much.. I new about setting the TEC to 14 for the hotline, but I had completly forgot abou the AHLS command, and BAM!!! all is good. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! I am assuming its still ok to say that here !

I only add this because of you question. I believe we should be tolerant of all beliefs and so merry christmas to you also and to those that think this is wrong, the problem is yours.
