Howdy All!
Have you tried this?
number,ext .... doesn't seem to work
Any ideas?
I wonder if it's actually possible..

We are using TAPI very much. Either in first party or third party mode. Works well so I suppose the answer to your question (that I don't understand) is yes.

Forgive me :)
Basically you type a number on an application (that uses TAPI to call out via IP office).
Can you enter a number example: 02071234567 and en extension : 100 in one?
Example: 02071234567,100
where the dialer will auto dial the number, pause and then dial the extension. ?
It doesn't seem to work...

You are trying to make your own predictive dialler by the sounds of it....not going to work like that :)

Yes Amriddle,
we have a program that dials out using TAPI.
Any ideas how to insert a pause to auto dial a number followed by extension?

Please
Leo

That's not how TAPI works, TAPI will make the extension/s it controls dial the number.

If you are programming your own TAPI device then first examine the number to dial, strip the number after the comma and store that part for later use, then dial the remaining number, wait for connect and sent the stored number as DTMF.

How Intrigant?
Is there a shortcode for DTMF?
An operator hits the transfer button... the caller goes on 'Held pending tranfer'.
the operator needs to manually dial an extension to reach the other party.
I wanted to avoid that part.. (having to use the actual phone)
So the question is... how to send DTMF?

You can use TAPI commands to send DTMF.

If you have to dial the same extension all the time you can create a short code like that:
93334445555/Dial/3334445555K100/LineGrp

It will dial the number on LineGrp, wait for connect and send 100 as DTMF. You can add some pause with ,,,

Check the help for short code characters.

Hi Derflow,
thank you for your answer..
Somehow I am getting wrong..
Dials out but calls a different extension.. any chance you could assist?

Is it just me that still don't know exactly what he wanna do and how he tries to do it?

Some explanation on the issue and what you have tried would be nice.

He wants tot do something which cannot be done with TAPI but he doesnt understand that.

NEWS!!!!
Done it :)

Basically here's how

I want to call number 12345678 and extension 100

Short code 1000
Feature Dial
Telephone number 12345678/Dial/100

so using TAPI, I just dial 1000 and CU CU TE TE !!! It works :)

I have another small issue though... to display a specific number .

I have a shortcode 8N for that (NS12364) to show 12364
But I cannot use in junction.

Hope the above solution (credit to derflow) will be useful for some.

Leo

sorted that too :) just add NS and the number after :)

Thank you all and have a great day!

The correct string for Telephone Number would be 12345678D100

Avaya would probably go bananas if you have /Dial/ in there, guess the lucky part was that the D.

D - Wait for Connect Wait for a connect message before sending any following digits as DTMF.
