One of my old NEC 2400 IMG switches has reported to me that they can not call out to a 417 office code, one that does exist within our 209 area code. Specifically any attempt to dial 9 417 XXXX fails. From my 2400 IPX we can dial to the 417 office code. Looking at AMND on the old switch I find.

DIAL CODE-------MND--TOLL----AN----RATE------A/D

938 --------------------8 ------ 1 ------- 0----------0----------0
939 --------------------8 ------ 1 -------- 0---------0----------0

9411 -------------------4 ------ 1 ------- 0----------0 -------- 0

942 --------------------8 -------1----------0 ------- 0 --------0
943 --------------------8 -------1----------0--------0 ---------0

(forgive the formating)

I take this to mean that if I wanted to dial 9 39X-XXXX I have the neccessary "8" digits. However ANY thing with 9 41 is going to stop at 4 digits? Can I add programing in AMND to the effect that a line such as 9417 8 1 0 0 0 is added and have that work?

Thanks

Since 9411 was broken out to 4 digits, you need to fill in the rest around it.
9410, 9412-9419 - 8 digits

I've added 9417 as "8 1 0 0 0" to AMND

I also added 9417 to AFRS in the same route and OPR as 9418. My choice for OPR seems to be "0" or "4". In this case 9411 was 4 9418 was 0

9402,3 & 4 = 4
9408 = 4
9409 = 0
9411 = 4
9418 = 0
9419 = 4
942 = 0
943 = 0
944 = 0

I set 9417 to have an OPR of 0

No joy. I dial 9417 and I get a fast busy.
Are there any other commands I need to "Invoke"

That should be all you need, assuming that 9417 is not included in any kind of restrictions. See example;
ASPA 9, LCR, RT 31, normal + hooking
AFRS RT 31, 9417, opr 0
AOPR 0, rt xx, skip 1
AMND 9417, 8, 1, 0, 0, 0.
Check APCR and make sure those numbers are not restricted.
In AFRS check 93x and verify the OPR used. Make 9417 the same.

Got it. I did another print out and discovered that old fumble fingers (aka me) had mistyped an entry. Once I fixed that it worked like a champ.

Thanks for the help.
