We are currently adding a predictive dialer to our phone system. One problem that we experience is that the Avaya IP Office 500 plays a tone that is not recognized by the dialer. Does anyone know how to program a fast busy when the far end disconnects?

You can't change single tone like that, tones are dictated by the locale of the IPO, but the manufacturer would normally work around the system not the other way round

Ok just to make sure I am on the right topic. The dialer is connected to the IPO with analog extension and the person on the far end hangs up the tone that is played that indicates the person hung up is a default of the locale and not coming from the IPO?

Ahhh - then you need to configure the analog extension on IPO as "IVR" which will provide disconnect supervision (aka drop pulse). This should provide adequate indication to the dialer that the far end has disconnected.
