Hi
I'm struggling to learn this nortel switch.
Thanks to all in this forum for the tips and tricks I've learned.

I could use some help with this one.

I have a 1000B with sip trunks and isets registered
to a 1000M 4.5 with attendant consoles.

The 1000B has a local pri for the analog ports to dial out.
I recently discovered that when an 1000B analog phone dials
zero they go to a wrong number in the 1000M instead of the attendant.
There are no consoles in the 1000B.I assume it's night treatment.

What do I need to do to send zero across the sip trunks to the main ?

Thanks

try using the day and night IDC dcno in ld 49

point 0 to where you want it, or the DN to 0 that is being dialed.

I would find out this from the 1000B:

LD 20
REQ prt
TYPE DNB
DN 0

Then if you see it is the Attendant DN, change the Attendant DN to something else, THEN add it as a DSC.

TYPE ATT_DATA <--- This is where zero probably is today

Is 7700 a valid dn on the 1000b? I think you should be able to build a dummy acdn in ld23 and point it to the dn you want it to go to on the 1000m.

Req: new
Acdn:7700/dummy dn

Change nit1 to new acdn.

Thanks for the reply... I Changed the 1000B
console from zero to another number , added a new cdp entry
to point zero to the sip, Changed the nit1 treatment
to go to zero.. Man I thought I had it licked , went to
try it and got reorder.

If the reorder is after a delay, set the FLEN of CDP DSC 0 to "1"

If the Reorder is instant after dialing zero, I'd be suspecting the RLI 5 is wrong.

the reorder is quick . but I changed the flen anyway..
still not working ... I confirmed RLI 5 points to the sips.

Exactly, I would be guessing DMI inserts a digit.

There is probably another RLI - the same ones other CDP extensions use - pick that for DSC 0

looks like I'm inserting a 9...
Why would the switch be programmed to insert a 9 ?
and what will I screw up if I change it ?

I see what you're saying Gene... use another RLI ..duh..
let me see if I can find one.

You will screw up everything else that is using that RLI. Your best bet is to find a RLI using that route with no Digit Manipulation, or you may need to add a new RLI.

I have a 1000b at my office and this is what I just did and it worked.

Prt your ldn's on your 1000m. Build as a dsc in ld87 and point it to your sip trunks on the 1000b. To find out the rli you need to use prt a dn/dsc that's dialable by your analog phones at the 1000m. Chg your nit1 in the 1000b to your new dsc.

The DMI 9 INST 9 is used for outgoing calls from the 1000B - so when the user dials 9+ the number, it goes to the 1000M and inserts a 9 so the call hits the outgoing trunks on the 1000M

The 9 from the 1000B just points to the SIP - but you don't want the user to have to dial two 9's - so DMI does it for them

Once you get the RLI straight (use same as other CDPs or creat new without a DMI)

Don't forget to add 0 to NRS if not already.

Thanks for all the posts...this has been a learning experience for me.

I can now dial Zero from my branch office analog phones.
However the attendant said she "had a hard time answering it".. says she saw the call offered on her console..
but when she answered she got another call in que. not my call ... she said only when her board was clear could she answer me .

If it's not one thing , it's another.

In the case of the Attendant claiming that, say this:

"I made a change to the 2250 Attendant Queuing Process, and that will have solved the problem"

In other words, it is working fine... The Attendant just got confused.
