Dial-up password saves to ***********

Forgive me if this is an oldie but i can't find anything on it.

In my Dial-up connection I have the option of saving the password. But having tried that and returning to re-dial (later) I find the password has become *********. Which of course won't work.

That password displayed to you is masked and there is not always the same number of stars (*) to match each letter in your password. Actually, I think there are two for each character in the password. If you connected successfully with the password, it will work fine on future dials with save-password set. JSV
