While using GE Desktop EDI today at a critical time, I noticed that my dial-up networking connection will not save my GEIS password. Anybody had the same thing happen? I have tried several times putting in the password, clicking save, and connecting: this is supposed to be the way to save your password. Everytime I disconnect and try to reconnect the password is missing. As a result I cannot transfer data because of the way the network connection is made internally within the GEDI software. Please help me find a solution before the morning if at all possible.

I discovered that if you log onto a LAN and then are prompted for a Windows password, but choose to escape, or bypass this password, your dial-up networking connection will not save it's password. To eliminate the Windows password, I had to delete all *.pwl files, restart the computer, verify my LAN password, and will never again be asked for a Windows password. The dial-up connections will once again save their passwords. It is important to do this if you have inherited a computer, or others have logged onto it while you were away.<br>

i just wanted to add, if your running win95 by any chance. its a know bug to do that. you can solve this problem by reinstalling client for MS networks in your network panel and then do what edipro recommended taht would do the trick too.

I want to write an application in vb, which does EDI transactions. How do I go about it ? Thanks in advance for your replies.
