Hi.

We have a Meridian1 OPT 11C, and we have problems with the Second Dial Tone, because when we press 9 to take an external line, we don't have the dial tone but whe can dial the number.

For example: Hook and have Dial Tone + Press 9 + And don't have Dial Tone + B Number.

The calls were completed succesfully, but the issue is the Second Dial Tone.

Can You help me with this issue?

Thank You (And sorry for my english)

Edgar

If you PRT your ESN in LD 86, is '9' in your AC1 prompt?

Jamie2

Thank you for your comment, in made a prt of ESN in ld 86 but the AC1 doesn't have nothing in the AC1, but for your comments, we have an ACODE 499 and this 499 works, and we have the second dial tone, the problem is only in the ACODE 9.

The ACODE 499 is in MFC and ACODE 9 is in DTMF.

Please let me know your comments.

Thank You.

Special dial tone after 9 is ld 56 first you define src1 (ftc) as tone 68 then also in ld 56 fro DTAD=9<BR>
and tone =src1<BR>
ld 86 ESN Dltn = no<BR>

MIKE

MIKE,

Thank You for the information, I proced to made your recomendation, and now the setup is like below:
LD 56
DTAD= DDTG 9
TONE SRC1
LD 86
ESN
DLTN = NO
But is not working, still don't have dial Tone after 9.
I saw in ld 56 the next print:
LD 56
DTAD=
DDGT 499 DDGT 9
TONE SRC3 TONE SRC1

And 499 ACODE works! But I don't know why 9 doesn't works.
Please let me know your comments.

Thank You.
Edgar.

The problem is in your LD 86 ESN block:

The prompt DLTN should be YES

DLTN is the prompt for NARS/BARS Dial tone after dialing AC1 or AC2.

His AC1 was blank in the ESN, so I don't think it was a BARS issue?

Are the trunks on a T-1? If so, it might be that the carrier isn't giving you dial tone. Sometimes they don't
unless you tell them, most PBX's are set up to provide the
2nd dial tone, but you are not using BARS (AC1 or AC2) so your carrier
needs to provide the dial tone.

HI,

just i finished the setup of LD 86 ESN Block to DLTN = YES

But don't have the Dial Tone after dial.

And the AC1 and AC2 is blank.

One question, in the ld 16 in the route that have the ACODE 9, what are the parameters that i need to associate with ld 56 and ld 86? Because i have DLTN YES in the Route in ld 16.

Sorry for the inconvenientes and Thank's for your help/.

Edgar

if you have 9 as an acod on your rdb you are not using bars - so your provider is probably not giving you dialtone

Hi phonedude10,

Thank you for the comentaries, but why when i take a line with acod 499 i have dial tone, and i am using the same provider.

Thank you.

Edgar.

Dialing an access code to my understanding is much like using a maintenace set to obtain "outside" dial-tone. When you dial your AC1 say 9 for instance, the switch is waiting for you to continue input of numbers to continue. Dial is a courtesy to the user. Most folks I deal with figure something is wrong if they do not hear it after AC1 input. So, we give them a warm and fuzzy with a slightly different sounding dial tone from our switch. LD 56 and down to SRC1 no change to cadence then a NEW DTAD for SCR1, hre you ell switch after they dial digit 9 for AC1. Walla fake dial tone and they are happy without a clue. Try explaining the dialtone bit to some Parisian.

Hi.

Just two minutes ago, i made a test, using mfc configuration and works, but when i made the setup the Route with DTMF i don't have the dial tone.

Please help me!!!.

Thank You.
Edgar

are 499 and 9 both ACOD's on rdb's or is 9 your AC1.
if 9 is an ACOD on a RDB you are not using BARS.
what kind of trunks are on these RDB's your provider may be sending dial tone on one and not the other

when you dial ac1, that dialtone is internal.. do a trace, your not connected to a trunk until post bars the dltn prompt provides that not the provider.. post your rdb
