I have a remote site that cannot dial several numbers in a given exchange/area code. I've checked the ARS tables and it looks alright, although I am not 100%. I added one of the numbers to the system speed dial and the user was able to connect the call.

Any suggestions? Is this the carrier or is this in the switch?

You are right to check the ARS first.
It could be an issue of a new exchange in an existing area code. You may need to contact your carrier to ensure that exchange is listed.

Is there a way to connect to an Octel 100 (on OS2) via Telnet? I'm using RSM software to remotely administer several Octel 100s and the analog connections just are not occuring consistently and are not reliable.

Has anyone done this with Octel 100s?
