Hello All

Have a IP500 running 5.0 and Voicemail Pro.

Have 1 Analog phone on a Phone2 Card. I have created a short code for Dial Paging *600 which works from all digital phones in office with out an issue.

Why does it now work from the analog phone? Is there something I am missing?

I have other shortcodes for Call Pickup ie. 101/102 to pick up park slots and it works fine.

Anyone have any ideas here?

-Thank You - Justin

Im sorry thats what im saying.. I want to "From the Analog Cordless" Dial *600 and page out to the Speakers in the plant.

I will try that today, but like I said the *600 with Dial Paging and Group 201 works fine from digital phones. Is it because you have to use Dial Group for Analog?

all paging really does is shove all the members into a conference, and send the phones off hook to the speaker.

you should still be able to Page any paging group from any type of extn.

from the KB

Paging is supported from all phone types. A page call can be to a single phone or a group of phones.
• From analog and non-Avaya phones, use a Dial Paging short code.
• From Avaya feature phones, a programmable button set to Dial Paging can be used.
• Paging is only supported to Avaya phones that support auto answer.
• The page is not heard on phones that are active on another call.
• The page is not heard on phones where the user is set to Do Not Disturb or has Forward Unconditional active.
• On Avaya phones with a dedicated Conference button, the user can answer a page call by pressing that button. This turns the page into a normal call with the pager.

so, sorry, dial paging is your correct method. Use group page for digital handsets or from a Button.

Group Paging

Makes a paging call to an extension or group specified. If no number is specified, this can be dialed after pressing the button. The target extension or group members must be free and must support handsfree auto-answer in order to hear the page.

On Avaya phones with a CONFERENCE button, a paged user can convert the page call into a normal call by pressing that button.

• IP Office Software Level: 1.0+.
• Action: Emulation -> Group Paging.
• Action Data: User number or name or group number or name.
• For IP Office 4.0+, on large display phones, if configured without a preset target this type of button will display an interactive button menu for target selection.
• Default Label: Page.

Installing our second Avaya IP Office with 5410 sets. Trying to set up Group Page using short code *600 and it did not work. (Internal Paging to the sets.) Help! Thanks so much. Maybe one day we will be able to be a Tek-Tip(per ??) and help installers.
Thanks again.

it is always better to open a new thread because new threads are higher frequented than old ones.
Now to your problem or setup
you need to create a huntgroup and put all members into that group you want to page to
then you need to create the shortcode
*600
dial paging
extension number of the huntgrop
line group ID doesn't matter

that should do it
