Sorry, somehow this thread got closed..

i did switch it to a DN outside the DID range, i try calling from my cell phone and i get an out of service announcement, which is great. But for some reason when i dial 99 from my desk phone and the number i connect.

Your BARS programming may be set up to look at your DID range and then strip off the NPA/NXX and keep the call internal. I have seen that in some systems. Keeps people from utilizing trunks for an internal call.

Turn your dchannel messaging on to get a view of what is being dialed, or perhaps an enhanced trace on your set to see what is happening.
